Lightening has been transferred here from the Kamloops branch to help him find a new home . . . Lightening found himself at the Kamloops Branch due to his previous home having too many cats; after waiting several months for a home in Kamloops Lightening was transferred here to help him find a new home. A large cat, Lightening truly is a gentle giant and can be a bit shy at first; after his trip to the Sunshine Coast it took a couple of weeks before Lightening felt comfortable enough to venture down from the bed he staked out on top of the "introduction" cages in the Communal room. He then gradually moved down onto one of the cat perches and then ventured further from there. A quiet and none intrusive cat, Lightening waits for you to notice him but once you do and start petting him, he leans right in softly purring the whole time. While in the Communal room Lightening never made a peep but he has recently been moved into a smaller room with one other cat and weve discovered something new about Lightening, he likes to chat. Not a lot, and not continuously, but when he first sees you he gives a few tiny meows and trots over to greet you! Waiting since March for a home, Lightening is one of those cats that doesnt stand out amongst the other cats, a bit of a wallflower he doesnt rush over nor do silly things to attract your attention, which is probably why he has been waiting so long for a home. A home where Lightening will be given time to settle in and not expected to be the life of the party on his first night home is what this good natured fellow is looking for. Take a chance, stop by or inquire about this gentle and affectionate boy, we guarantee youll be pleasantly surprised.
